Review // L'Oreal True Match Liquid and Powder Highlighters

The L'Oréal True Match Powder and Liquid Highlight in Icy Glow is a highlighter perfect for accentuating the features of light to medium skin tones, for subtle highlight to intense illumination. There is also a bronze shade option for deeper skin tones.

This is the True Match Powder Highlight and this pearlescent shade is created with three different shimmer shades including an icy silver-toned blue, a frosty white and a light pale peach.
Hidden underneath the highlighters is a built in mirror and a little powder brush is also included. The colour payoff of these shades are stunning, they are so opaque and pigmented and packed full of shimmer.
On the L'Oréal website, their Pro Tip is to apply the highlight the high points of your face to enhance your cheekbones, brighten the eyes, sculpt your nose and plump your pout. For a more intense glow, why not try applying this powder with a damp brush to amplify the intensity?
This is a really subtle highlight, perfect if you'd like a simple, easy to wear day-to-day look. You can build up the powder without it going cakey.

The Liquid Highlighter in Icy Glow is the first liquid highlighter from L'Oréal. This can be used as a primer or blended with foundation for a radiant complexion or to use on its own to accentuate your features where the light naturally hits your face.
The consistency of this highlighter feels very smooth, lightweight and super blendable. The product beautifully reflects light while adding radiance to the skin. It is also buildable so you can achieve your desired opacity.
The liquid highlighter is also really light to wear but it gives off a more opaque highlight so this is something I'd go for if I were to do my makeup for an event or something like that, again it is buildable and blendable.
I also layered the powder on top of the liquid and it gives off the mot stunning glow - if you want a striking strobe effect then this is the combination for you. I would definitely layer the two on my cheekbones and then keep the rest of the highlighted areas really simple; that would be my go-to look for a night out.
Overall I really like these two highlighters, both together and on their own. They also have a bronze shade available for warmer skin tones as well and I really like these products because they're long wearing, pigmented and super lightweight. I also like that it doesn't make my oily skin look over shiny and it makes it look a lot more healthy and radiant, perfect for the warmer seasons or when its sunny. Out of 5, I'd give both of these top marks!

What is your go-to highlighter?
