How to | Find Your Undertone

Today I am teaching you how to find your undertone. I used to think undertones weren't that important but apparently I was wrong. Determining you undertone can help towards choosing the right toned foundations and there are several easy ways to finding this out.

An undertone is the permanent colour that is underneath your skin. Your undertone is a permanent pigment underneath your skin and the colour won't ever change but your natural skin tone will because of tanning or discolouration etc. There are three types of undertones; cool, warm or neutral. Usually the paler you are the cooler your undertone and the darker you are the warmer your undertone but it is different for everyone, and this post should help you to determine your undertone.

Veins: Are your veins on your wrist a blue shade? If they are, you probably have a cool undertone. If they are more on the green side your undertone is warm. If it is both colours or appears the same shade, you are neutral.
Colour: What colours look best on you? If you lean towards wearing or liking more blue, green or white shades your undertone is cool. If you suit more pinky, red orange or yellow shades then you probably have a warm undertone. If you gravitate towards all shades then you are most likely going to be neutral.

Jewellery: Hold a piece of silver jewellery and gold jewellery on your neck or chest area. Make sure you do this in good, natural light. If silver makes your skin glow your undertone is cool. If the gold suits you better you are most likely to have a warm undertone.
In a nutshell, cool undertones are more likely to be pink, red or blueish tones in the skin. Warm undertones would be yellow or golden undertones and neutral undertones would be a mix of warm and cool colours underneath the skin.

The reason I gave you three ways to find your undertone is each one may give you a different result. The veins on my wrist are blue so that would make me a cool undertone and I can wear both silver and gold jewellery so that would make me neutral. I have a huge selection of clothes colours from cool to warm colours so that would also make me neutral. So my undertone would be neutral.

So I hope this helped you guys to find your undertone. If not, leave a comment below and we'll try to determine your correct undertone.
