Spring Makeup Tips
Hey guys
Today I wanted to give you some makeup tips for Spring 2013. You will need to play around with shades to suit you, this is just a guideline.
Face:
Look fresh as a daisy and wear a BB Cream. BB Creams are a lot lighter than foundation and are better for your skin because you can correct, conceal and cover your skin in one simple step! If you do not want to try a BB Cream, I suggest MUA Undress Your Skin Face Primer. This feels just like a BB Cream but better! It makes your skin velvety smooth and covers up open pores and fine lines. Or use under BB Cream to make it last longer! Use a concealer to over up blemishes. For undereye circles I suggest MUA Undress Your Skin Radiant Under Eye Concealer. This is suitable for all skin tones and it reduces the appearence of dark under eye circles. Get a concealer to cover up any other blemishes but try to get it as natural as possible! As far as blusher and bronzer goes, if you have pale skin try a very subtle light pink. Darker skin tones will be complemented with bronzer. You can highlight as well, highlighting will suit all skin tones and will help to catch the natural light.
Eyes:
Eyes are the thing that can be changed, but also the things that can be the most tricky. Different eye looks suit different skin tones. For pale, lighter skin tones, try a natural eye or even subsitute in light rosy pinks. For more olive skin tones and slightly tanned skin tones you can try a slightly bolder natural eye. For darker skin tones you might like a more natural/smokey eye and some eyeliner. I suggest no or little eyeliner (pencil) for pale skin tones and a very, very thin sixties flick liner for medium skin tones. But you will have to experiment with shades. As far as mascara goes, you need a few coats of mascara to emphasise your lashes. Experiment!
Lips:
Most lip colours suit everyone but some are best worn in different seasons. A pale pink lipgloss suits all skin tones and compliments any look. If your skin is medium, you can go up to anything red. Darker skin tones, for you lips it all depends on your eye makeup. If you have subtle eyes you can either keep your lips simple or go for something with a bit more 'pop'.
I think my favourite look of all time is a basic sixties flick eyeliner, with MUA Gel eyeliner in black, and all you need to do is change lip colours around to suit the season. The eyeliner can be worn all time round. I also tend to curl my lashes and apply a bold coat of mascara to make my lashes more volumised and longer. For the best lip colours for the season, look below:
Spring - Pale pinks work best but you can go for a brighter hot pink if you prefer
Summer - Tangerine, pink works, even a red to emphasise the sunset
Autumn - tangerine, auburn shades to match the colour of leaves, possibly red
Winter - keep it simple, pale pinks or other pale shades are best
I hope this helped guys and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions about anything.
