MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixers

I'm sure everyone at some point has got a foundation that is the wrong shade or is maybe a little too dark or has the wrong undertone and this can make your whole makeup look appear unflattering. Introducing these amazing custom colour foundation mixers by MUA Cosmetics; available in 4 shades, these foundation mixers are designed to mix into your existing foundation for unique customisation.

Available in 'Lightening Warm', 'Lightening: Cool', 'Deepening: Medium' and 'Deepening: Dark', they are easily mixed onto the back of your hand into your foundation before applying it as normal. The consistencies of these are quite watery so keep in mind not to add too much mixer at once otherwise it will overpower the foundation too much. They also seem to be light enough in consistency to not affect the thickness of your foundation.
The foundation that I tested this was with the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Foundation in Warm Sun Beige which is a little too orange for me. From left to right, the swatches are the foundation with no mixer, next to that is the foundation with 'lightening warm', followed by 'lightening cool' and then 'deepening medium'.
'Lightening Warm' definitely made it a lot more wearable for me, it significantly lightened the foundation while keeping it with a warm undertone. 'Lightening Cool' made it more pinky and 'Deepening Medium' made it a lot darker.
 
Overall for £4 each, you can't really go wrong with these. They're really quick and convenient products you can easily pick up in Superdrug if you are in need of some customisation. As a beginner makeup artist, these will definitely be really useful to use on clients if their skin tone is a few shades out of the shades of foundation you have. The foundation still wears and feel the same as well.

MUA Cosmetics Review

Hey everyone Last week for my birthday, I went shopping and while I was in Superdrug and I  picked up some things from MUA (Makeup Academy). There are some products here I haven't tried, one product I have but not this particular name. I actually fell in love with this brand when it was a very small company when everything was £1! Then the company expanded which made me very happy and so I tried   these products and I have mixed reviews. The first product I am reviewing is the BB Cream. This is £4 in the MUA online store ( www.muastore.co.uk ) or in Superdrug ( www.superdrug.com ). I wanted a BB Cream because I find foundation is too heavy and is bad for your skin and I started to go off tinted moisturizer. Anyway, for the price in general is OK for the product. I bought Shade Medium last week and I think this is a bit too dark for me even though the medium and light shade are very similar.
