Two Easy Summer Beach Wave Curls using Straigteners

Image
When I curl my hair I like to use my straighteners because it's quicker, easier and the curls last longer since my hair is quite thick. I've been trying out different ways to curl my hair and for Summer a really popular look is beach waves. I have two ways to get two different beach wave inspired curls using a pair of straighteners.

Subtle Sunset Inspired Evening Summer Makeup Tutorial

Image
For this Summer evening makeup, I wanted the eye makeup to be something that was a bit more colourful and I was inspired by the beautiful sunsets in Summer. This is a look that you can alter the lid colour on to make it more suitable for you and it is best to use a gradient of colour on the lid to get the same effect.

Relaxed Summer Evening Routine

Image
Today I am going to do a Summer evening routine and this is what I do to unwind and relax on a Friday night.

July Haul

Image
It's that time again; Haul time! I have a massive haul this month of clothes, makeup and other little miscellaneous things. Not going to lie, I did go slightly crazy especially in Primark.

Golden Glow Everyday Summer Makeup Tutorial

Image
I love experimenting with new makeup looks and trends for Summer and completely changing the products I tend to use to be more effective for the season. I have been loving the bronzed contoured look combined with the Strobing trend to get a gorgeous glowy look for Summer. I have also combined it with a softer eye makeup look and a slightly bolder lip, but not too bold, and this is my go-to everyday makeup look for Summer.

Lazy Summer Morning Routine

Image
Yawn! Good morning! I haven't done a morning routine before, but I thought now was the perfect opportunity because I can show you what I get up to in the morning during Summer. I don't have a specific 'routine' that I do every morning, but I do roughly the same things whether I am going out somewhere or if I am having a lazy day at home.

Beauty Products You Need to Try this Summer

Image
I am so excited to be continuing with my traditional annual Summer blog posts. I have three new 'Summer Spotlight' blog post every week until mid-August and today I am starting with my most loved products for Summer that I highly recommend you try for the season.

Little Ways to Improve your Blogging Organisation

Image
This post is for all you bloggers! We all put a lot of hard work and effort into our blogs, and to help keep track of everything in my blog and to maintain my progress and productivity, I have created this planner. This helps to brainstorm and plan blog posts, keep track of stats, plus some other information I want to record. This post may inspire you to improve your own organisation for your blog and I have some tips to share too!

Collection Naturally Matte Foundation

Image
I know I've said in the past that I'm not a huge fan of wearing foundation, but I think it's a female prerogative to constantly change her mind about things like this. I think it's because I've never found a foundation that I like and fits my skin and my opinion changed with the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation  so I've been using a few foundations recently and one of the newest ones I've started using is the Collection Naturally Matte Foundation, £2.99.

Makeup Revolution Makeup Geek Palette

Image
This palette in the Makeup Revolution I <3 Makeup Collection has been on my wish list for so long and I was so excited to see that it was a freebie in my latest MUR order. This is available online for £7.99 and contains '36 indulgent super pigmented eye shadows'.

Maleficent Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Image
For my last Villain inspired tutorial, I was inspired by the animated Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and this look has dark green shadow on the eyes and the intense black and green lips and this one is probably my second favourite makeup look, behind Cruella of course! I am using the big Makeup Revolution Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette for this look.

Ursula Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Image
Since I loved doing the tutorials from the other Disney Villain looks, I decided to do a couple more and I'm continuing with Ursula from The Little Mermaid. I am mainly using the Makeup Revolution Give Them Nightmares Salvation Palette because it contains the perfect blue-toned purple shades for Ursula.

A Day in Brighton

Image
Today I have a bonus blog post about yesterday's trip to Brighton. Yay! I went with a friend and neither of us have been to Brighton before. We explored areas of Hove; walked along the sea front,  visited the pier and nearly got lost in the maze of The Lanes.

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Palette

Image
A few weeks back, I took advantage of the Makeup Revolution three for two offer on all of their Salvation Palettes and I bought the new Unicorns Unite palette and two other palettes. This palette is 'made with the help of “Real” Unicorns in our Enchanted Magical Makeup Forest' and contains 18 shades; 12 shimmery and 6 matte and retails for £6. I also did a tutorial using a few shades from the palette at the end of the blog post.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Image
Recently I picked up the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and this is priced at £7.99 in Boots and Superdrug. This is supposedly a great dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara but this isn't going to be a comparison blog post.

Masquerade Ball Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Image
Last week was our Sixth Form Leaver's Ball and I originally was going to do a 'Get Ready with Me' post but I decided to do a tutorial for the makeup look I wore instead. I used the Makeup Revolution Give Them Nightmares and Unicorns Unite palette to complete the look. You can change the lid colour to whatever shade you want to make it more suitable for you. My dress was a dark midnight blue colour so I matched the shades in the eye makeup.
