Janurary 2016: Monthly Favourites

Image
At the end of each month its common for bloggers to do a round-up of all the products they've been loving throughout the month. I've decided to experiment a bit and do a different type of post at the end of each month and today I have a January Favourites but next month it will be something different.

Marilyn Monroe Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Image
For today's tutorial I was inspired by 1950s style icon, Marilyn Monroe, the ultimate Hollywood Glamour Goddess. I recreated a very glamorous glittery gold eye with staple Hollywood style red lips.

What's in my Jewellery Box?

Image
In all honesty, jewellery isn't something that I've had a major interest in wearing. There is some really gorgeous pieces in my jewellery box however, but there is a select few pieces that I really love and that I keep in this special box which was given to me on my 18th birthday. I keep all my favourite jewellery items in here and some of them were gifts and some are what I've bought for myself.

Ssh... My 80p Brush Cleaning Secret?

Image
Yes. 80p. You read that right. Cleaning makeup brushes is such a massive chore that I hate doing since I have so many brushes that I use often and to avoid the spread of bacteria - it is a chore that needs doing. I've tried several different brush cleaning techniques but my favourite product for cleaning the brushes costs just 80p. Yes... 80p!

Miss Sporty Perfect Stay 10 Hour Concealer

Image
I was on the hunt for a new concealer and I came across the Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Concealer in Superdrug, £2.99. Miss Sporty isn't a brand that I have experimented with, but after using this concealer, I think I need to try a few more things from this affordable brand.

'New-trals vs Neutrals' Eye Makeup Tutorial

Image
As I was rummaging through my makeup collection looking for a palette that I haven't experimented with a lot, I came across the Makeup Revolution 'New-trals vs Neutrals' palette which is a warm-toned neutral palette containing a lot of burnt reds, pinks and oranges with a few lighter shades thrown into the mix. I created a warm toned neutral eye makeup look which is great for everyday wear and is simple to create.

Brow Routine January 2016

Image
Brows are the frame to the eyes just like your hair is the frame to your face. I like to slightly darken my brows but still keeping them with a natural looking appearance. I also have a couple of tips at the end of this post to help you get the best brow look.

What's in my Makeup Bag?

Image
Hello! Take a peep inside my makeup bag to see the makeup products I reach for on a daily basis and the things that I like to take with me when I'm out and about. My makeup bag is from Primark and it is so cute, it has Bambi on it and I have both the sizes; the large one and the small one, and I carry the small one around with me and this fits all of my essential products.

Skincare Routine January 2016

Image
It's been a while since I've talked about my skincare routine and it has actually changed since the last time I did a post about it which was back in March 2014. I have really minimised how many products I actually use and I found the perfect products that suit the type texture of my skin and I've noticed how much clearer my skin looks.

Maybelline 'The Blushed Nudes' Eye Shadow Palette

Image
Welcome back! Today's review is about the newest 12-shade palette from Maybelline which is called 'The Blushed Nudes', £9.99, and this is the latest product into the 'nude' palette collection after the original 'The Nudes' Palette .

Goodbye 2015... Hello 2016!

Image
Happy New Year! Here at the start of 2016, I wanted to take a trip down memory lane and reflect back on my year of blogging, looking back at the good, the bad and the ugly. In 2015, I published 158 blog posts which is the most posts I've ever done in a year. In the last twelve months there's been heaps of reviews, countless makeup tutorials and more.
