Save Money on Makeup in 2014

Image
Hi Sparkles! Today's post is not going to be a tutorial, like I planned, but instead I am going to show you different ways to use your makeup products and how to save money on them. I'm sure we all have some makeup we don't use for its intended purpose, whether its the wrong shade, it doesn't quite look right... whatever reason. As long as you use makeup that is in date its all good. We spend a ton of money on makeup, well, I do at least. If you are the same, you might be owning more than you should, or, if you aren't exactly the richest person around you can certainly double up everyday products you might be owning. So, this post is how to save money on makeup this year. A cheap, but high quality gel or cream eyeliner is really difficult to find. In stores, the best cheapest one is by Collection and it is £4.99 and the best cheapest one I found online only is ELF Cream Eyeliner for £3.75. Cream and Gel liners can be really expensive but it is really easy to...

How to | Reduce The Appearance of Milia

Image
Hey guys For the last few years I have had these tiny white bumps underneath my eyes and now the time has come for me to actually want to get rid of them. I haven't actually been bothered by them before but now I am taking more consideration about the way I look and these tiny bumps are one of the things I want to get rid of.  I was researching this condition and it is commonly known as 'Milia' (pronounced as mi.li.a- I googled it). Milia can affect anybody at any age but the most common age of milia is babies. They aren't a skin threat at all, they are unnattractive and are just annoying when it comes to applying makeup. Milia is small white bumps that appear under the skin when dead skin cells get trapped. It is caused because the skin has not been properly exfoliated and it will disappear without any drastic treatment. A way to prevent it is to keep your face clean regularly, as you should do anyway. As a teenager or an adult you should be opting to...

Winter Smokey Eye Tutorial

Image
Hey guys Today I am doing a date night tutorial for you guys. This tutorial is great for if you are going on a date to a club or restaurant during the cold winter nights. It is very sultry, dark and intense. The palette I am using is the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Palette. It is a little pricey but it came in this Christmas' gift set.  The first step is to prime your eyes, as always. The primer I am using is the one by Beauty UK, £3.49, exclusive to Superdrug. Apply in tiny dots on the inner corner, outer corner, centre of the lids crease and the bottom lash line. Blend it out to cover the entire eye area.  The brush I am using is the eyeshadow brush by ELF, £1.50. Select the pale yellow colour and apply this all over the eye lid. Next flip the brush over and use the teal shade and pat this on the outer half of the lid and gently blend the two colours together.  The next step is to take an eye crease brush (ELF, £1.50) and mi...

Happy 2014! Skincare and Makeup Tips to Try

Hey guys So I hope you had a great Christmas break and had a fabulous new year. Sorry I have not been posting anything, there has been quite a serious family incident that has been restricting me, plus I have had work! mock exams and have been practicing for my theory test. It has been a very busy and stressful Christmas for me but for you guys I hope you had a relaxing break. I decided to share with you guys some of my most useful and effective Skincare and makeup tips that you can try this year.  The first of my tips is to get into the habit of cleansing your face every day, even if you do not wear makeup. Dirt, grease and oil can still clog up your pores so you need to remove that. My favourite Skincare products at the moment is the Olay Essentials range. I use the wipes, face wash, scrub, cleansing milk and toner. It sounds a lot, but it is definitely worth using it all.  My next tip is to prime your face and eyes before face or eye makeup. You may do this ...
