Tutorial | Carnival Inspired Eye Makeup
Today's makeup tutorial is inspired by a summer carnival. I wanted to create a very artistic look that isn't exactly symmetrical that had inspired Venetian intricate designs. I really like how this look turned out and I hope you guys like it.
The first thing you want to do is prep and prime your eyes. We are doing the same eye shadow look on both eyes but different detail for each eye. I used the Beauty UK eye primer all over the lid and up to the brows and followed that with my Barry M White Eyeliner all over the lid. The eyeliner is going to help the eye shadow stick a lot better and appear brighter.
The palette I am mainly using is the MUA Poptastic Palette. This has a load of bright and colourful shades.
Using a flat shader brush I am applying the palest yellow mixed with a tiny amount of the gold and placing this in the inner half of my eyelid. Next, flip the brush over and I am taking the paler sky blue shade and filling in the rest of my lid. Use the same brush to gently blend the colours together to get a gradient from yellow into blue.
Next I am using an eye crease brush and the darker denim blue shade mixed with the cobalt blue and tracing out the crease. I am using my fluffy blending brush to fluff out the colour.
I am now using a Seventeen High Drama Liquid Liner and drawing an exaggerated sixties flick and creating a small swirl at the end of the line
On the left eye, I created some swirls using the same liquid liner and after realizing how messy the lines look, I did go back over them to fill them in.
On the right eye, I did a symmetrical swirl on the bottom lash line and I used a tiny amount of eyelash glue and stuck some rhinestones in between the two lines. I added a smaller rhinestone in the inner corner on both eyes.
The final step is to curl your lashes and apply mascara. On my lips I am going to wear my Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick in Tulip
So I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and come back next week for more
