February 2016: New Drugstore Releases

Image
During this month there has been some awesome new product releases in the drugstore, most of which have appeared to end up in my makeup collection... In this post I wanted to show you a haul of everything I have bought that's been launched recently and also telling you what products I have been loving.

New from Real Techniques, the latest brush set features all the tools you need to define, fill in and shape your brows. This Brow Set retails for £19.99 and contains two pairs of tweezers, three slanted brow brushes and a panoramic brush case/stand.

Urban Decay Shadow Box

Urban Decay is one of those brands that I like but I very rarely purchase something from, the last time I bought something from there was the Naked Smokey palette which I absolutely adore, and as a little pay-day/Christmas treat for myself I decided to pick up the Shadow Box Palette and this was quite a spontaneous purchase. It costs £23 and is 'loaded with a DOZEN of their most amazing shades'.

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm and Blush

We have Baby Lips and Baby Skin from Maybelline, but the most recent addition into the collection is the Baby Lips Balm and Blush, a multi-use product for use on the lips and cheeks. These retail at £4.99 each and there are four shades in a great range of colour options.

Birthday Night Out Makeup Tutorial

Yesterday was my birthday and tonight I am going to a surprise birthday 'event' (I'm not sure what ti call it as I have no clue what it even is or where it is!) and I absolutely love this makeup look, I used the Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette to create an intense and dramatic look combined with a hint of glitter across the lids.

Tomorrow is my 19th birthday and this is the makeup I will be wearing tomorrow night when I go out for a meal and a few* drinks and I decided to go with a glamorous gold eye makeup look with a nude lip and of course I had to use some glitter.. how could I not, it is my birthday!

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette

Great makeup application starts with a clean brush. We all know cleaning your makeup brushes is such an important thing to do but it can be a really time-consuming and boring chore to get done. A few weeks ago I talked about cleaning my brushes with a product from Makeup Revolution, but not to be out-done, the popular brush brand Real Techniques have created this hand-held brush cleansing palette designed to improve the performance of your makeup brushes by 'helping to sweep away makeup, oil and impurities from your bristles for a more truer and consistent colour application'.
