BlogTober | Cheshire Cat Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Hey guys,

Today's BlogTober is a Halloween Look, as promised. I am basing it off Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The reason I am basing it of Cheshire Cat is because I need to do this makeup for a friend for my fairytale photography and decided to create a halloween look, but I have no idea who is going as a Cheshire Cat for halloween...

It was really fun creating this to put on someone else and I am going to show you how to do it.

First, prime your face and eyes. You will need a good base before applying makeup because it will give the makeup something to stick to and won't fall out as quickly.

Use an eyeshadow brush to apply a light pink eye shadow shade all over the lid.

Take an eye crease brush and mix a lilac and a dark purple and trace out the crease of your eye. Blend it out with your blending brush. You can really exaggarate and elongate the eye to make it look like a cat with the purple shadow. It's Halloween, it doesn't have to be completley perfect.

Now for the fun bit. Take a pink liquid liner and draw the classic 'sixties flick' on the upper lash line and create a small swirl as the wing. On the lower lash line, trace from about a third of the way in from the inner corner, and create the sixties flick on the bottom line with a larger swirl as the wing.

Curl lashes and apply mascara. If you are feeling extra cat-like, find some pink, or purple, lashes that kind of flare out at the outer corners and apply them.

Take a lip brush and a bright pink lipstick and apply the colour to your lips. Exaggarate the shape of the cupids' bow.

Use the lip brush and same lipstick to create three whiskers on each side of your nose. With the same colour, draw a cat nose on your nose. Take a black liquid eyeliner pen and draw two little dots on either side.

Take the liquid eyeliner pen and draw an exaggarated smile from the corners of your lips. The Cheshire Cat is always creepily smiling and this will save an aching mouth all night. My smile drawing skills are terrible...

If you really have to, draw fangs. The Cheshire Cat doesn't have fangs but since its Halloween, he has fangs now!!

I hope you guys liked this tutorial and I hope that your halloween costume idea has changed to the Cheshire Cat because this is a really awesome look that I had a lot of fun creeating.
