MUA Cosmetics Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush and Lip Gloss Review

The latest product release from MUA Cosmetics is the MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush and Lip Glosses. There are 5 shades available of each product and I picked up a blush and two lip glosses for £3 in Superdrug.
These light and airy products have been launched into their 'SS15 Collection' for Spring and Summer. There are 5 shades to chose from and there are a nice range of colours so there is definitely something to suit every skin tone. Each shade corresponds between the two products, for example, a blush and a lip gloss share the same colour and the same name.
This Whipped Velvet Blush shade is called Rococo and this is a beautiful candy pink tone. This is contained in a small pot which has a screw-on lid and there is a nice amount of product for the price of it. The packaging describes the product as 'smooth and soft' and it 'glides on over cheeks for light and instant colour' which I have to say I agree with.
The formula of the blush is so soft and creamy, you can definitely tell it has that 'whipped' consistency. As for the pigmentation, this shade in particular is quite sheer and it does have a light wash of colour. It glides on the cheeks so easily and blends out effortlessly. You can easily build up the intensity of the colour and I am loving this shade for when Spring comes because it has that light-pastel hue.
I chose two shades of the lip glosses available; Hedonic, which is the lighter pink, and Ritzy which is the brighter hot pink.
These formulas both have the same 'whipped' consistency and they are so smooth formulas as well. The pigmentation is OK, but it took a few layers to build up that intensity. On their website, the description of the product says that this is an 'ultra soft and subtle pop of colour'. One layer of the product is quite subtle but you can keep adding until it gets more vivid.
The applicators of the lip gloss are precise so the product can be applied easily and effortlessly.

The only thing I don't like about these lip glosses is that I can feel the texture of them on my lips when I roll them together which I hate. They are weightless formulas and are comfortable to wear, and also they are very creamy on the lips which is a good thing. These are better layered on a lipstick colour rather than wearing them on their own as well, which is something to take into consideration.

The name of the shades in the Collection are Rococo, Hedonic, Chichi, Ritzy and Spry.
