Gift Guide: Elgento Candy Catcher

This weeks Gift Guide is a fun novelty gift perfect for all ages and it is the Elgento Candy Catcher, £19.99 (was £39.99) available in Robert Dyas.

The candy catcher is packaged in a bright attractive box.

The actual candy machine is wrapped in plastic to protect it.

Inside the machine is a mechanical grabber which you can manoeuvre using the levers to grab as many sweets as you can in one minute while the music plays.

Also included is 24 plastic coins which you insert into the coin section to start the game.

There is a section at the top of the lid where you can pour in sweets or any small prize. The less sweets in there, the more tricky it is to win a prize! The candy catcher takes 3x D batteries in order to operate which aren't included.

I had so much fun playing this with friends, it was really tricky to get a sweet which is half the fun! When you successfully manage tor retrieve a sweet and drop it into the shoot, it applauds you which I think was a really fun touch. Overall, I think this would make a great gift for kids (the recommended age is 3+) or adults and would be an awesome addition to have at parties, small gatherings etc. To make it even more fun, you can set up a game in order to win the coins rather than sharing them and this will make it a bit more competitive!
