Gift Guide: Pantone 24 Colour Eye Shadow Palette

How can it be nearly Christmas already? It seems that this year has just flown by and before you know it, we'll be knee-deep in Christmas presents, cards, wrapping paper... the lot. Finding someone that perfect Christmas gift can be tricky, but not to worry, I have several gift ideas every Friday for the next few weeks. The first gift idea I have is this Pantone 24 Colour Eye Shadow Palette, £16, available in Boots.

The palette is presented nicely in this box which has a see-through lid.
The actual packaging is very sleek and it has a magnetic closure on the top right hand side and a hinge on the bottom left side so it flips open. The top of the palette also has a plastic lid that is magnetic as well. One of the first things I noticed about the palette is that the shades are numbered instead of being named. I like that it is in a white case, it makes it look incredibly professional.
On the top half of the palette, there are more neutral wearable shades including some purples, pinks and lilacs and some deeper shades such as gold and grey.
On the bottom half of the palette there is more cool toned shades including a black, white, teals, blues and greens.
When the palette is opened up all the way it remains quite flat. I really like the range of shades in this palette, even though it's not the average everyday eye shadow palette, it's great for adding pops of colour into makeup and the shades will compliment all skin tones and eye colours.
The shadows are generously pigmented and opaque, super blendable, not crumbly and there is a mixture of matte and shimmery finishes.
Overall, I really like this palette. I think it's a great gift idea for any makeup enthusiast, the price of it is definitely worth it in my opinion, the quality of the eyeshadows are really nice, the colours are vibrant and there are lots of different colour variations to choose from.
