Lush 'Granny Takes a Dip' Bath Bomb Review
I have not been to Lush in a very long time and I was very glad that I went in there when I did. I new that Lush had new products from looking at their website and I saw this in store and it was the only bath bomb I wanted to buy. It is called Granny Takes a Dip and it is £3.25.
If you are unaware about Lush, they are an amazing company that produces fresh handmade cosmetics including bath, body, hair and skin products. The most significant thing about Lush is that they are a cruelty free company and arguably the most ethical brand ever.
This bath bomb is called 'Granny Takes a Dip' which is a name I am struggling to understand. It is a psychedelic 60s themed bath bomb that has a green centre that is surrounded by coral, sky blue and bubblegum pink. I love these colours because they are very easy to look at.
This bath bomb is quite large and it measures to be a few millimeters bigger than my palm. The thickness of it is about an inch or so.
The size of it makes it makes me wonder if I should use the whole thing at once or break it in half and get two uses out of it. I decided that I was going to use it all at once.
This is a slow fizzer which is great because most of them dissolve quite quickly. This way you get to enjoy the fascinating process of your own at-home psychedelic show and experience the sixties.
I loved watching the bath bomb fizz in the bath, it looks so cool when it dissolves in the water.
This has a ginger, pepper and lemon scent. I had a peep on their website and looked at the product description and it says 'its spicy citrus scent will pep you up: lemon oil boosts the mood, while ginger and pepper are warming.' The lemon oil is 'uplifting and refreshing', the black pepper oil is 'warming and clarifying' and the ginger oil is 'antibacterial and refreshing'. I could definitely smell the lemon and pepper in the water and just before I got in, I had a headache and the gently scents cleared my headache which was amazing.
When the water clears you are left with a gorgeous violet colour.
I absolutely loved this bath bomb and it is definitely my new favourite. My skin feels a lot more nourished and I honestly wanted to stay in the bath all night. It is absolutely incredible in a hot bath... I wont go on. I sense I am making you all jealous.
If you ever find yourself in Lush whether it is online or in store, let me know what you bought or what products are your favourite. If you have tried this bath bomb, leave a comment telling me your thoughts!
