Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Ultra Eye Shadow Palette Review

Makeup Revolution has a great selection of palettes containing different finishes and colours. I picked up the Flawless Matte Ultra Eye Shadow Palette which contains 32 matte shades for £8 in Superdrug.

This palette is packaged in a copper box with the brand name and the name of the palette printed on the front of the box. The box is a nice addition to the palette as it will protect the case of the palette from getting dirty or scratched.
On the back of the box there is a guide of which colours there are in the palette which is something they have done for all of these boxed palettes so you can see what shades are in them without having to open the box. I think this is a really useful feature.
When you open the box, the palette is packaged in a clear plastic bag.
The packaging of the actual packaging is very sleek and shiny.
When you open the lid of the palette there is a clear plastic insert with the names of each shade printed on. You can remove this and set aside while you are using the shades from this palette and its easier to refer to this rather then having to keep flipping the palette over to see the name of the shade.
There is a really big internal mirror which is handy for when you are doing your makeup on the go. Like I've said before, I like this element with palettes because it makes them great to travel with. I feel like this is a great palette to take away on trips because it has every neutral shade you could possibly want for a day look and some deeper colours to create a night time look. All of these shades are so wearable and there is definitely shades in there to suit everyone. There isn't one of those terrible fiddly sponge-tip applicators in this palette which I am quite pleased about.
There are eight columns each with four rows of eye shadow and I feel like each column has shades that compliment each other really well and you can create a look using the four. For example, the last column has greys and blacks for a smokey look, there are some orange/peach tones as well as some pinks and brown shades for neutral looks.
Top Row from left to right:
Flaw, Nutmeg, Pearl, Matte, Shell, Chrome, Cork, Stone
Second Row from left to right:
Cool, Sand, Fawn, Muse, Warm, Mud, Leather, Smoke
Third Row from left to right:
Antique, Nut, Taupe, Rosewood, Rust, Bear, Olden, Charcoal
Fourth Row from left to right:
Soft, Oak, Bark, Warm, Burnt, Wood, Earth, Carbon
The pigmentation of the darker shades are really good but some of the lighter shades are quite sheer but the intensity of the colour can be built up to create a more opaque shade. They blend and apply really easily and there isn't any fallout when you apply them, however they are slightly crumbly when you dip your brush into the shadow. The consistency of the shadows are so buttery and soft, they feel just like cream eye shadows. The colour stays put on the eyes for hours and they don't fade when used with a primer.

Overall I really like this palette and I want to try more of these from Makeup Revolution.
