Sleek i-Divine Del Mar Volume 2 Limited Edition Palette Review and Tutorial
New from Sleek, the I-Divine Del Mar Volume 2 Palette reflects the vibrant and lively elements of a tropical Summer atmosphere. This Limited Edition Palette retails for £7.99 in Superdrug and contains 12 gorgeous eye shadow shades.
This palette 'captures the laid back, euphoric ambience of Volume 1 and reflects the spectacular, famous sunset over the sea mixed with chilled Balearic beats.'
Like all Sleek palettes, this is packaged in their original case which is compact, quite lightweight and, dare I say, sleek. It has the name of the palette in the bottom right corner and the brand name in the centre.
All of these shades are named which I always like with palettes, and there is a clear plastic insert that fits on the palette with the names of the shades printed on it. There is an internal mirror inside the lid which is a nice size to have to apply makeup and there is also a duo-ended sponge tip applicator. Although I don't like these eye shadow applicators, this is a great palette to travel with.
There is a mixture of pastel shades with blue and green colours, and some peach and yellow tones perfect for creating a tropical summer inspired look. There are definitely some wearable shades in the palette along with some more vibrant colours to add more intensity and Sleek also say that these colours work for all skin tones.

As you can see by the swatches, the pigmentation is excellent and the consistency of the eye shadows are very soft and creamy. They apply to the eyes really nicely and blend effortlessly. The colours compliment each other nicely for the tropical summery theme. They are nice and opaque and there is no fallout at all and they stay put all day. I layered them over a white eyeliner base and this makes such a huge difference in the vibrancy of bright eye shadows like this, so this is something that you could definitely try.
Overall, I am so impressed with this palette. It's a great palette for creating tropical Summer looks and I can already tell this is a favourite for this season.
This tutorial uses shades from the Sleek I-Divine Del Mar Volume 2 Palette. This combines warm and cool shades to create a tropical makeup look which is perfect for Summer.
I am using an eyelid primer and a white eyeliner for the base. These colours are bright so the white eyeliner will make them appear more vivid and help them last longer.
The first shade I am using is 'San Antonio' which is a peach shade and using a flat shadow brush, pat this all over the lid.
With the same shadow brush, I am patting the shade 'Ibiza Rocks' on the inner half of the lid and blending the two shades together with a precise blending brush. I added some more layers of the colours to build some intensity to the makeup.
With a fluffy blending brush, I am fluffing the shade 'Ushuaia' in the crease and blending this with the two lid colours
On the outer corners of the crease, blend the shade Siesta in the crease and blend with the first crease colour to create a gradient of colour. Fluff the shade out at the outer corner to add a smokier effect.
On the lower lash line, use an angled brush to trace the outer half of the lower lash line with 'Ocean Beach' and trace the inner half of the lower lash line with 'Bora Bora'.
Transition the crease shade gently with the shade 'Zoola'.
Highlight under the brow bone with 'Pearl' and also dot this shade on the inner corner to brighten the eyes.
I applied liquid eyeliner to the upper lash line and curl your lashes and apply mascara.
On my lips I used MAC Amplified Crème Lipstick in Girl About Town. I also used MAC Powder Blush in Lovecloud and added a bit of warmth to my face with MAC Bronzing Powder in Golden.
